Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas just proved once again that they are totally #couplegoals. With the launch of the Jonas Brothers’ first studio album in a decade, the youngest Jonas reveals just which one of the ‘Happiness Begins‘ album’s 14 tracks is dedicated to his 36-year-old wife.
‘I Believe’
As most of the band’s fans are still trying to get over their newest singles ‘Sucker’ and ‘Cool’, Nick just confessed that it’s actually the song ‘I Believe’ the one he wrote for Chopra. Describing it as ‘a love letter to my wife’, the 26-year-old singer wrote the slow jam about their own real-life relationship. Its lyrics are the biggest giveaway of this.
The song’s lyrics let the listener into the inner thoughts of a person who’s not letting other people’s opinions get in the way of pursuing his love. Both Nick and older brother Joe sing on the three minutes and 38 second-long track with Nick singing most of the song including the choruses.
Similarly, Joe also wrote a special song on the album. ‘Hesitate’ is dedicated to his wife, ‘Game of Thrones’ actress Sophie Turner. Joe and Turner, who got engaged in 2017, recently tied the knot in Las Vegas.
Real Love Story
Nick and Chopra’s whirlwind romance began when Nick messaged the Indian beauty on Twitter. After months of texting each other, the two finally met in person at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party in 2017 where Nick reportedly even got on one knee upon seeing her. A week later, Nick got to meet Chopra’s mom while they were hanging out at the actress’ apartment.
However, their romance would only start flourishing a year after when they ran into each other at the 2018 Met Gala. Less than a month later, their dating would become ‘tabloid-official’ with an anonymous source confirming the match to Us Weekly.
And just a few months after they started dating, Nick proposed to Chopra in Crete, Greece where they were celebrating the actress’ birthday. They soon confirmed their engagement by posting a photo of them wearing Indian clothes on their respective Instagram accounts.
The two officially got married in December of 2018 in both traditional Indian and Christian ceremonies held in Chopra’s home country.
No Doubts
Due to the fast nature of their romance, Chopra admits that she got cold feet before her wedding to the musician, who’s 10 years her junior. She recalled having a freak-out just moments before her walk down the aisle. However, her doubts went away after seeing her groom’s face waiting for her.
Judging from their sweet social media posts, it seems like the couple is still going strong. Chopra even starred in the Jonas Brothers’ ‘Sucker’ music video together with the other two band members’ wives.
