Two days after the Michigan Woman won $500 in the state lottery, she came to know that the winning prize is $1 million. St. Clair County woman said that at first, she thought it can’t be real. The Michigan woman who has not been identified called the lottery and confirmed the prize amount. As soon as the woman on the phone told her that she’d won $1 million, she started shaking and dropped the phone.
The lucky woman won the prize in Super Bonus Cash – a scratch-off game in which one has to solve the puzzle words. The woman said that she identified 7 words and thought that she has won $500. But the reality came to her when she went to return the ticket claim her prize. She returned the ticket to a local gas station and then the cashier said that he can’t give her that much money.
After that, the prize-winner took the ticket home and upon further examination, she got to listen to two more words for $5000 prize. When she saw the ticket next morning, she found another word on it and then totaling amount to $1 million.
Then the Michigan woman claimed the prize from state lottery board and took the lump sum amount of $634,000 with her. She said that she will use the money to return debts and traveling.
This is not the first time that a woman has won a lottery prize of $1 million. In November 2017, a North Carolinian woman the lottery twice netting $10,000 in the first and $1 million in the second.
Michelle Shuffler, the lucky woman said that she and her husband didn’t like play the lottery but on Sunday they had a few bucks and played the lottery. While returning back to home, the couple stopped at Cubbard Express gas and when the couple scratch Fever scratch-off ticket, the found that they had won $10,000 prize. They knew that the game had a final price of $1 million, so they decided why not to try their luck again.
From winning $10,000 dollar at Cubbard Express gas, the couple moved to Murphy Express in Granite Falls which was 22 miles away from their that-time current location. And when they scratch their second ticket, they were shocked to see that they have won $1 million. Shuffler said that it was a miracle.
Unlike the Michigan woman, Shuffler decided to take the payment per year rather than taking the lump sum of $600,000. She has already been the first installment of $50,000 and received $35,000 after tax cutting. She said that she would use this money for traveling the world and give her children quality education.
Back in May 2018, a Louisiana man won $200,000 after saving lottery ticket from trash. Assuming that a $10 ticket never yielded anything, one of the family members of Bryan Cureington throw the ticket into the trash but that ticket made the whole year of Bryan worth living. When the 35-year-old went to the garage to check the lottery ticket, it was confirmed by the Lousiana Lottery that the ticket is worth $200,000.
Later it was revealed that the ticket was bought from Muse Food Mart and one of the top four lottery tickets. After tax cutting, Bryan was able to get $142,000 a lump sum amount. Bryan wasn’t the only one who missed out on big price. A couple of months back McGuire told a gas station cashier to throw away the Powerball ticket as he said that he can’t cash it.

McGuire then joked that his wife kept taunting him that for he kept $50,000 in his pocket for one week and didn’t tell her. After winning the price, he said that he would use the money paying off the debts and take his family to Six Flags trip.
