Last Saturday when Dulce Gonzalez woke up, she had no idea what’s going to happen o her wedding day. At that day, the chances of rain were only 15% but the weather prediction does not fulfill their promises.
Her wedding was planned on Pascagoula, Miss and she along her friends went there to see the arrangments. As soon as the wedding is about to start, torrential rain started and there was thunder of lights as well.
And the entire team of guests and arrangments were confined to the car. While giving an interview to Yahoo Lifestyle, Gonzalez said that she was sitting in the car with her mom and dad and about to have a panic attack and was yelling what is happening outside and what would we do now.
At the same time, Cynthia Strunk, the street resident was watching the whole situation and had one eye on the black clouds that were gathering over their heads. By looking at the weather, she thought that the family should have a plan B and that’s what she provided them with.
Gonzalez said that she came to the car with her umbrella and knocked on the window. After that she said that all the people can come to her house and she will have all the things ready in just 10 minutes, Gonzalez recalls.
After getting a warm invitation from Strunk, Gonzalez called the guests out from the car and after that Shannon, Strunk’s husband and her neighborhood took all the guests into their house with the help of an umbrella.
Initially, Gonzalez thought that they will gather in a small room for the ceremony but Strunk had other plans. When the guests arrived at the house, there were 50 chairs decorated in a well-furnished room and after that, the bride was asked to go into a small front room to get ready.
Gonzalez further recalled that by watching the arrangments it was looking that they arranged the ceremony at that place. She thanked God for sending these two angels to save their big day. She said that God wanted to get them married therefore Strunk and Shannon arrived at the right time. Dulce Gonzalez was from the Dominican Republic and her boyfriend Ariel Gonzalez was from Puerto Rico.
Saturday afternoon it was our pleasure to host an impromptu wedding at our home. A beach front wedding had been planned…

The Stunk’s shared the whole story on Facebook and also shared some memorable photos from the house-shifted wedding ceremony.
There were only a few guests who speak English there and the hospitality shown by the local couple took her by surprise, the bride further said. She further said here in Mississippi there is a lot of racism as white people racist against the black.
But she said that not all of them judge people by race and she met many nice and friendly people there. Therefore, she wasn’t expecting this at all. To their hospitality, Strunk and Shannon also presented a bottle of champagne and two glasses to the newlywed couple to celebrate their moment.
While giving an interview to ABC News, Strunk said that they didn’t think that they were doing anything big and they were only helping a bunch of people on the beach. The reception as planned took place at Woody’s and at the same restaurant the couple got engaged as well.
After getting such a nice hospitality from the Strunk’s, the couple came to visit them with flowers in 2 days. The level of excitement was so high that till that time they didn’t know each other’s names and at that point, they introduced themselves.
Strunk invited all of them to the dinner and after that Gonzalez exchanged phone numbers and asked to keep in touch. In the end, the bride said that she will never ever forget her wedding day and thanked the Strunk’s to make their wedding even more special by arranging such a beautiful event at their house.
