Celebrity kids are lucky to grow up with such rich and famous parents. Aside from getting opportunities other aspiring actors without connections can only dream of, they have the chance to grow up experiencing the limelight.
One of these lucky few are the two children of ‘The Good Place‘ actress Kristen Bell and comedian Dax Shephard, who are just realizing just how famous their mom and dad actually are.
Having an Idea
In a recent interview with Stephen Colbert, the 44-year-old father of two told the host that his two daughters, 6-year-old Lincoln and 4-year-old Delta, actually know that he and Bell were ‘well-known’. The catch is that the young children haven’t quite realized the extent of their parents’ celebrity status until recently.
According to Shepard, both Delta and Lincoln know that their mom is the voice behind Princess Anna from the hit children’s animated film ‘Frozen’. They’ve also seen Shepard and Bell in action and have even gone with them on set while they were working. They’ve seen people approaching them to take photos and they’ve seen the billboards around town. But the ‘Armchair Expert‘ podcast host still had to explain some things to his daughter, Delta.
Apparently, she was asking Shepard about why people were listening to his podcast. He replied that they were tuning in because they knew him.
Realizing the Truth
That’s when Delta pressed him on and asked why so many people know him. Shepard honestly answered, ‘because I’m famous’, and that’s when the little girl freaked out. After expressing her shock, Delta then asked whether her actress mom knew that Shepard was famous.
That’s when he humbly admitted to his daughter that her mom’s actually more famous than him. Of course, the little girl was also shocked by this news. Pondering about the hilarious incident, Shepard said that while his daughter understood their livelihood, she probably had a different idea of what being famous might be like. In the end, the comedian concluded that his daughter might be thinking that they were like Taylor Swift famous.
Bell, who has been a mainstay in Hollywood since her first major role in the television series ‘Veronica Mars’, is quite famous within the younger crowd because of her iconic role in Disney’s ‘Frozen’. The film is set to get a sequel later this year which would surely further cement her name in the memory of children everywhere.
Rite of Passage
But Shepard and Bell’s kids aren’t the only celebrity offsprings who are experiencing a rude awakening about their parents’ fame.
A few years back, former Disney star Hilary Duff was surprised when her son, Luca, came to her and told her that he knows her name. According to Duff, a kid at school may have told Luca her full name and he went on from there.
